ATLAS PROJECT
TVWWC Security & Administration Package
A security review and administrator handoff package designed to make a community WordPress site safer and easier to operate.
01
Purpose
Security is only useful when the people running the site understand what to do. The package therefore combines a non-technical operational view with a deeper technical appendix, giving administrators both immediate priorities and implementation detail.
02
Security Domains
The review covers WordPress core and plugin hygiene, accounts and privileges, backups, hosting controls, TLS, update practices, authentication, recovery, logging, and common exposure points. Recommendations are prioritized so the highest-value controls can be addressed first.
03
Administrative Handoff
Documentation explains recurring maintenance, ownership, escalation, and recovery tasks. The goal is to reduce dependence on one knowledgeable individual and leave the organization with a repeatable operating process.
04
Risk Communication
Findings are expressed in terms of likelihood, impact, and practical remediation rather than alarmist vulnerability lists. This helps a volunteer organization decide what is proportionate to its actual risk and resources.
05
Long-Term Model
The package can evolve into an annual or semiannual review checklist with versioned evidence, backup tests, account reviews, and plugin inventories, creating a lightweight governance cycle around the site.
