ATLAS PROJECT

Amazon Multi-Brand Reseller Architecture

An operating model for supporting multiple marketplace brands or business identities from a shared inventory and fulfillment backbone.

01

Operating Problem

A reseller may want distinct customer-facing brands while maintaining one physical warehouse and common inventory processes. The architecture separates brand identity, marketplace accounts, catalog ownership, and customer communications from the shared operational systems behind them.

02

Shared Backbone

Inventory receiving, storage locations, purchasing, replenishment, shipping, returns, and warehouse labor can be centralized. A common SKU and location model prevents the physical operation from fragmenting simply because products appear under different storefront identities.

03

Brand Separation

Each brand can retain its own listings, positioning, customer service rules, pricing strategy, and reporting while mapping to shared warehouse records. Clear account permissions and bookkeeping boundaries are important so operational convenience does not blur legal or marketplace responsibilities.

04

Systems View

A scalable implementation would use a central inventory source of truth with connectors to marketplace listings, order channels, accounting, and shipping. Exceptions should be visible when one physical unit is promised through more than one channel.

05

Governance

Marketplace policies, beneficial ownership, tax treatment, brand authorization, and account rules must be respected. The architecture is intended to improve legitimate operational efficiency, not to bypass platform controls or obscure ownership.
