ATLAS PROJECT
Candy Cosmo
A commercial education application for professional hair colorists, combining guided learning, subscription entitlements, commerce, and mobile deployment.
01
Guided Color Wizard & Progressive Content
The application brings a wide range of professional color decisions into a guided mobile workflow. The Color Wizard turns service goals into clear selections and progressively narrows the path toward relevant techniques and recommendations. Content can also be protected by entitlement: when a user does not have sufficient access, premium areas such as Candy Cosmo Insights remain visible in context but their detailed guidance stays locked.
02
Supabase Authentication & Entitlement Control
Supabase provides the authentication and profile layer used to identify users and authorize different levels of content consumption. Account and entitlement data determine which protected sections a subscriber can see. In this example, the user is signed in with the appropriate Insights-level rights, so the previously hidden Candy Cosmo Insight content is unlocked and available inside the same guided experience.
03
Shopify + Lulu Direct Commerce
The app extends beyond digital education into physical publishing. Shopify supplies the storefront and checkout experience, while Lulu Direct provides print-on-demand production and shipping. Users can move from the Candy Cosmo Books area into the live storefront, choose full-size or mini editions in color or black and white, complete the purchase, and have printing and fulfillment handled through the integrated commerce workflow.
04
Learning Center for Professional Colorists
Candy Cosmo is also designed as an ongoing education hub for working hair colorists. The Learning Center organizes articles, how-to tutorials, technique libraries, industry trends, best practices, and other professional reference material into a single mobile destination. The intent is to make continuing education easy to browse while keeping free learning, premium guidance, and purchasable reference material clearly separated.
01
Product Vision
Candy Cosmo is designed as a practical learning companion for working colorists rather than a static digital textbook. The product organizes professional color knowledge into guided paths, reference material, warnings, advanced topics, and contextual insights so a stylist can move from a service goal to relevant instruction without navigating an oversized manual.
02
Application Architecture
The application baseline uses React and Vite with Capacitor for mobile packaging. Supabase provides authentication and profile-based entitlement data. The architecture supports Android and iOS distribution while retaining a web-compatible code base. Deep-link handling connects email authentication and external commerce flows back into the application.
03
Tiered Learning Model
Content is progressively gated by entitlement. The baseline tier exposes core application material; higher tiers add Candy’s Wizard Insights, Wizard Warnings, Advanced Topics, and ultimately the complete protected content set. This lets the product separate introductory value from increasingly specialized professional guidance without maintaining separate applications.
04
Commerce & Publishing
Print materials are integrated through Shopify and Lulu Direct. The commerce work includes product variants, a materials collection, embedded storefront experiences, print-ready cover preparation, and return paths to the application. App-store managed subscriptions are the intended long-term entitlement source while the owner retains administrative override capability.
05
Current Baseline & Next Steps
The established application baseline includes working Supabase profiles, tier assignment, content gating, embedded Shopify storefront functionality, and mobile deep-link foundations. The next commercial steps are store subscription entitlement synchronization, final application cosmetics, production callback links, release testing, and app-store publication.
